The Lonely Pooch Planet, Baby is the eighth episode of the Space Dandy anime.
Synopsis[]
After the crew encounters a dog that captures Meow's and Dandy's hearts before passing away on an otherwise deserted planet, a pair of flea-like aliens sneak aboard the Aloha Oe.

Trivia[]
- The refrigerator Meow discovered on Machinia is a reference to the Cowboy Bebop episode "Toys in the Attic," in-which the cast are attacked by a toxic blob formed from long-expired food in a forgotten fridge. The appliance is eventually jettisoned into space.
- The dog in the episode is also a reference to the dog the USSR sent into space on Sputnik ll on November 3, 1957. The rocket ship was designed to be unretreivable and Laika died in a few hours due to the ship overheating. Dandy names the dog Precious Upside-down-coconut Pie or P.U.P for short.
